Two fisherman have been rescued from the sea off the coast of County Mayo following the sinking of their vessel in the early hours of this morning.The Malin Head Coastguard received a distress call from the Iona Isle shortly before 4am. According to breakingnews.ie, it scrambled the Ballyglass lifeboat, but another fishing vessel arrived at the scene first and took the men on board.
The lifeboat subsequently escorted that vessel back to Ballyglass pier.
