The second phased of a County Donegal urban renewal project has got underway.
Works will be carried out in the harbour town of Killybegs, which the council said will make the area a "better place to live, shop, visit and do business", according to build.ie. Following the completion of Phase I urban renewal works in 1998 at The Diamond area, a public consultation process was undertaken during 2005 and 2006 to agree the scheme of works to be undertaken as part of Phase II.
It was agreed that Phase II works be undertaken along the Main Street of Killybegs (from the Bay View Hotel to the junction of Main Street with Quay Street), as a continuation from the previous phase of works.
