Positive response to Mayor's Charity Banquet

The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, Cllr John Crowe has expressed his delight at the level of support being received by the Mayor's Charity Banquet.

More than 400 tickets have so been sold for the charity fundraiser which takes place on Saturday, 28th February at Treacys West County Hotel in Ennis.

All proceeds raised will benefit the Cathaoirleach's chosen charities of Carrigoran Day Care Centre and Clare Cancer Support Services, comprising Sláinte an Chláir and West Clare Mini Marathon Cancer Care Centres.

"The people of Clare have so far shown incredible support for this event since it was announced in January. I am delighted with this response which underlines the high regard that people have for the named charities, each of which delivers important community -based health services here in Clare," said Cllr. Crowe.

"Considering that a Mayor’s Charity event has not been held for a number of years, I am anxious that next week's fundraiser will make a very significant financial contribution towards supporting the work of the nominated recipients," he added.

The Mayor’s Charity Banquet takes place on Saturday, 28th February in Treacys West County Hotel, commencing at 7.30 p.m.
