Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark to attend World Travel Market

The Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark has confirmed it will join Ireland's two other Geoparks, the Marble Arch Geopark in Fermanagh and the Copper Coast Geopark in Waterford, at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London next month.

The three Geoparks are presently working on a travel itinerary that invites visitors to Ireland to take in the three locations over a 7-day period.

The Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark is recognised by UNESCO, and has also been successful in attracting €2.2m funding through the EU Life programme to develop an international Tourism for Conservation Model over a 5-year period

The World Travel Market, the leading global event for the travel industry, takes place from November 3-6.  WTM 2013 saw more than 50,000 senior industry executives attend signing business deals worth more than £2.2 billion.
