Dublin Taxi Drivers Cause Traffic Chaos In City Centre

Traffic in Dublin city centre has been disrupted this morning as a result of a protest by taxi drivers from around the country.

The demonstration has been organised by a group calling itself the Irish Taxi Council. Members of the group converged in Naas, Co Kildare, this morning before driving in convoy towards the Department of Transport offices on Kildare Street in Dublin reports breakingnews.ie.

The street has been closed to all traffic except buses and taxis and parking restrictions have also been put in place on Merrion Square and Fitzwilliam Square.
