ABB Jobs Blow For Dublin And Dundalk

67 jobs are to go at ABB manufacturing facilities in Dundalk and Dublin by the middle of next year.

Today the company announced that 60 jobs are to go from the ABB factory in Dundalk, which makes products that support the pulp and paper industry reports RTE. The job losses come with the transfer of the Quality Control Systems to Shanghai, China.

Some functions will remain in the Dundalk factory such as sales and marketing, as well as engineering and support activities. 41 staff in these areas will keep their jobs.
