Economic think-in planned for Dublin

A special high level economic forum involving leading international and local experts in the hope of coming up with new ideas to get Ireland out of recession is being held in Farmleigh, Dublin next Thursday.

Businessworld.ie reports that the event, which is being hosted by cross-border trade and business development body InterTradeIreland, will review the latest global economic developments and consider the extent, depth and duration of the global downturn and how and when the global and local economies will pick up.

It also aims to generate ideas on how the island, North and South, can best position itself in the post-recessionary global economy.
