16 injured in Galway mini bus crash

Sixteen people have been taken to hospital following a crash involving a minibus and a car near the Galway-Mayo border.

It happened on the Dunmore to Glenamaddy road at Cashel Cross at around 3.10pm. RTE News reports that a group of women in their 20s were travelling in the minibus at the time.

Nine people have been taken to Galway University Hospital and five to Roscommon County Hospital. Two were taken to the Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe. None of the injuries are believed to be serious.
