Clare Hotel Group To Be Rebranded

The hotels operated by Irish firm Dunne Group Hotels (DG Hotels) will be rebranded under the Ramada name as part of a rescue package, the Sunday Business Post reports today.

DG Hotels ran a chain of seven hotels in the west of Ireland, but went into examinership in June after running out of cash and amassing sizable debts. The company is now in the process of offloading a number of loss-making properties. It has already withdrawn from two hotels and is expected to leave a third in the coming weeks.

The company’s hotels include the Shannon Shamrock Hotel near Bunratty, Co Clare, the Two Mile Inn Hotel in Limerick, and Clybaun Hotel in Galway. It also operates the Woodstock Hotel in Ennis, Co Clare, and Patrick Punch’s Hotel in Limerick. The company disposed of its interest in the Ridgepool Hotel in Ballina, Co Mayo, and another property in recent weeks.
