Funding For Judo Club

The Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs has allocated top-up funding of EUR1,200 to the Ennis West Judo Club.

The club is one of 63 organisations in or serving RAPID areas to be allocated top-up funding following the approval of funds under the Sports Capital Programme 2008 in July.

Minister of State and Clare T.D., Mr. Tony Killeen commented, ‘The Sports Capital and RAPID Programmes have played a major role in the development of sport in this County by allocating funding towards the provision of sports facilities. By doing so, the Programmes are assisting the fantastic efforts of both the volunteers who are the backbone of sport and also the many thousands who play sport, at whatever level'.
