Open-air summer art exhibition in Ennis this weekend

Following the success of recent Art-for-All exhibitions in Ennis, County Clare, the Clare Arts Office and Ennis Town Council are planning a final summer open air exhibition in the Temple Gate Car Park this Saturday (August 3rd) from 11am to 4pm.

The exhibition is open to all artists interested in displaying their work and meeting other artists.

The initiative, which is based on a similar and very successful scheme hosted in St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin, is the brainchild of local art student Ann Cronin. Anne, a student of local artist Vincent Killowry's, helped to organise the first open air art exhibition as part of the Fleadh Nua in 2012.

According to Clare Arts Officer Siobhán Mulcahy: “This is a wonderful opportunity for artists to show their work and for members of the public to come and view some original artwork from local and national artists.”

To register for the event, contact the Arts Office, Clare County Council on (065) 6899091 or arts@clarelibrary.ie.
