Over 25,000 copies of a new publication that promotes the Burren as a sustainable tourism region have been printed and shipped abroad for distribution this week.
‘The Burren, Naturally Yours’ is being distributed to tourism operators across Ireland, UK and Europe as part of the Burren Ecotourism Network’s promotional drive for 2013.
The publication, which has been published on recycled paper, is supported by the Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable tourism in the Burren area.
According to Geologist Dr. Eamon Doyle: “From a Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark perspective, the national and international promotion of the many and varying aspects of the Burren region is an ongoing process. We hope this publication will help to highlight the fantastic variety of activities on offer in the Burren including caving, kayaking, surfing and climbing; walking and hiking; photography and painting and yoga.”
“We have already received requests from across Europe in relation to the magazine and in recent days, copies have been distributed as far away as Hungary, Holland and France,” Dr. Doyle added.
Further details on ‘The Burren, Naturally Yours’ are available from www.burren.ie and www.burrenecotourism.com.
