Clare T.D. and Minister Tony Killeen has congratulated five local education providers who were today presented Quality Assurance Certificates at an awards ceremony in Clontarf Castle.
Minister Killeen complimented the institutes on their achievements and the invaluable work each of them are carrying out in the area of Adult and Further Education.
The Clare organisations in receipt of FETAC certificates include SMT Consultants Ltd, BTech Training, K4 Learning Associates Ltd, Mid-West Management Training and HSE Dulick Enterprise Centre
Commenting on the background to and importance of the FETAC awards, Minister Killeen said: “With changing patterns of work and life, today more than ever, individuals are required to upskill and to undertake learning in many diverse ways and at different stages in their lives. While the availability of flexible and part-time opportunities is a great boon to learners, it is equally important that the certification received is a quality, recognised award such as FETAC awards.”
He complimented the award recipients in Clare for providing education and training services in a supportive environment, and making it possible for hundreds of adult learners to expand their career opportunities.
“A FETAC award represents a highly sought national and international passport that allows access to a whole range of opportunities in employment and further and higher education”, he concluded.
