Six people have been arrested in connection with the sale of heroin in Athlone, Co Westmeath.
All six people were arrested in the early hours of this morning reports RTE. Local gardaí were supported by members of the Garda National Drugs Unit in carrying out the operation.
It is expected that some of those arrested today will appear in court later.
