Aer Lingus CEO Christoph Mueller is due to address a meeting of the airline's workers at Shannon Airport today about his plans for hundreds more job cuts.
The former national airline announced yesterday that it is seeking to lay off 676 employees and cut wages for all other staff in an effort to save €97m per year, according to breakingnews.ie. Unions have already threatened strike action if any attempt is made to impose the measures without the agreement of staff members.
It is still unclear where exactly the jobs will be lost and how many employees will lose their jobs in Shannon.
