Budget Travel has confirmed that it will close 14 of its stores around the country by the end of next month.The company says it is still talking to staff about the number of redundancies that are likely to result from the closures, RTE News reports. In the middle of last August, the company announced it had begun a 30 day consultation process with staff, which was likely to result in the closure of 14 of its 31 stores, and the loss of 95 jobs between the shops and head office.
The shops that will close are at Athlone, Clonmel, two in Cork, two in Dublin, Dundalk, Ennis, Finglas, Limerick, Mullingar, Swords, Tralee and Wexford.
