A search off the Kerry coast for a French fishing vessel has been called off after the vessel was located.
The 'Damarfran' had sent out a distress signal at 6am this morning, but the crew said that its Emergency Position Indication Radio Beacon was set off accidentally.
The crew confirmed that the vessel was not in difficulty and was bound for Dingle. An Air Corps CASA reconnaissance aircraft and the Shannon-based coastguard helicopter had been on their way to the scene.
