Funding For Kilkee Community College

Junior Minister and Clare T.D., Mr. Tony Killeen said today he had received confirmation from the Department of Education and Science that it has approved funding for small capital works to be undertaken at St Joseph’s Community College in Kilkee.

Minister Killeen said, “The secondary school will benefit from small works including the replacement of boilers. The Building Unit of the Department of Education has informed me that it will be in contact with the school authority shortly in relation to the amount funding approved. The approval of funding is very positive news for Kilkee Community College as some had believed that the current economic downturn would have led to a subsequent decrease in Government spending in this area. I wish the school every success with its project."

Earlier this year, the Department made similar funding announcements regarding projects at Inagh, Querrin, Carron, Carrigaholt, Furglan, Clooney, Ballycar, Doolin Mixed, St. Conaire’s Tullyvarraga, Quilty and Ruan National Schools, as well as Ennis Community College.
