Three rescued off Cork coast

Three people have been rescued from a yacht off the coast of Cork this morning.

The 22 ft boat ran aground on a small island near the village of Ballycotton at around 2.30am, according to Breakingnews.ie. The crew on board were rescued by the Ballycotton RNLI lifeboat after they contacted emergency services on a mobile phone.

The RNLI crew are gathering at Ballycotton pier again this morning, where they will attempt to re-float the yacht, which is still on the rocks.
