Emergency services at the scene of yesterday's crash on the N18 (pic by Irish Independent)The Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) is investigating an accident that left a motorcyclist seriously injured yesterday, the Irish Independent reports.
An inspector from the GSOC was called to the scene at Killula on the main N18 Ennis to Limerick road yesterday after a man, in his 40s, collided with another motorcyclist at a garda traffic corps check point. The other motorcyclist was not injured.The accident occurred when gardai ordered the motorcyclists to pull over and one of them appears to have cut across the other as they were slowing.
The accident reduced southbound traffic to one lane for much of the day yesterday as gardai and the GSOC conducted separate investigations.
