Efforts are being boosted today, to provide badly needed European funding to boost employment prospects in Clare and Limerick, in the wake of several high profile job losses.Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities will travel to the Mid West next week to meet representatives of Dell employees.
During his visit Vladimír Špidla willbe briefed by the regional jobs task force which was established following Dell's decision in January to move its manufacturing facility from Raheen to Poland. Commissioner Špidla will also be briefed by local politicians and officials from the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment. Source – Limerick Leader.
