A case before the High Court taken by Varleigh Ltd, a company owned by developers Bernard McNamara (left) and James Morrissey against food group, Aryzta - formerly IAWS - has been settled and dismissed.
"Counsel for the plaintiffs expressed their regret for the distress caused to IAWS Group Limited (a wholly-owned entity of Aryzta) by the proceedings," Aryzta said in a statement today.
Costs were awarded in favour of its IAWS Group unit, the company told Businessworld.ie. Varleigh Ltd had sought E48m in damages over alleged misrepresentation and alleged broken commitments concerning the purchase of the Uniphar Pharma site in Tallaght.
