Unions at Bord na Móna have deferred strike action after a meeting this morning.It is understood that workers will be balloted on Thursday on new proposals from the company. RTE reports that a picket was placed on some Bord na Mána works this morning, but the action has now been lifted until the ballot in Tullamore.
Workers at Bord na Móna bogs in Offaly, Westmeath and Longford had voted in favour of strike action three weeks ago.
