35 new jobs created in Mulhuddart

Italian pharmaceutical firm, Rottapharm, is to invest E7m in the expansion of its Mulhuddart, Co Dublin operations, taking on an additional 35 new staff.

The new high level positions will bring employment at the site to 150 people, according to Tanaiste, Mary Coughlan. IDA Ireland has worked closely with Rottapharm's Irish management team to assist them in winning this investment and to ensure its rapid implementation, she told Businessworld.ie.

Rottapharm - part of the Madaus Group - discovers, develops and commercialises a range of products for the treatment of anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, bone metabolism, menopausal and gastro-intestinal disorders. To-date research activity has generated about 300 patents and 19 new drugs.
