Less than 24 hours after plans to create 300 jobs during the construction of a wind farm in West Clare were announced, software giant Intel has said it intends to create new jobs in Shannon.While it is seeking to reduce the workforce at its plant in Leixlip, the firm has announced that up to 130 jobs may be created as part of plans to expand its research centre in the Shannon free zone.
Intel said the investment could create 134 jobs over the next four years.
