Clare FM Defies Credit Crunch

Clare FM radio has defied the credit crunch and advertising slump by buying a majority stake in Kildare radio station KFM.

It has been reported that the 55% stake is understood to have cost the Clare FM group, led by CEO Liam O’Shea and Chairman Michael Evans, more than €3.8m implying a valuation of about €7m for the station.

Clare FM is based in Francis Street in Ennis and first commenced broadcasting in 1989.
