Clare FM radio has defied the credit crunch and advertising slump by buying a majority stake in Kildare radio station KFM.
It has been reported that the 55% stake is understood to have cost the Clare FM group, led by CEO Liam O’Shea and Chairman Michael Evans, more than €3.8m implying a valuation of about €7m for the station.
Clare FM is based in Francis Street in Ennis and first commenced broadcasting in 1989.
