Air Ambulance For Shannon Moves A Step Closer

Proposals to airlift critically ill patients from North and West Clare to Limerick Regional Hospital have moved a step forward, Clare FM reports.

The HSE has held preliminary talks with the Defence Department about establishing an Air Ambulance Unit at Shannon. It was one of the issues to emerge at a meeting in the Dáil between the Clare Oireachtas members, HSE boss Brendan Drumm and the consultants charged with implementing the reconfiguration of health services in the Mid West.
