At the GAA's Annual Congress at the weekend, Clare withdrew their motion calling on the GAA to declare that Croke Park would remain open for rugby and soccer business when Lansdowne Road is re-opened next year."We were asked to do so by Central Council and we agreed, but we will bring it back next year because it's important that it's dealt with," said Clare delegate, Noel Walsh, whose club, St Joseph's drew up the motion.
Meanwhile, new president Christy Cooney has announced a number of key appointments to various committees. Inagh native Simon Moroney has been appointed as Chairman of the Central Appeals Committee.
