Junior Minister and Clare T.D. Tony Killeen has announced that Clonmoney National School will shortly be allocated capital funding by the Department of Education and Science.
The funding will allow for roof works to be undertaken at the school, which is located close to Newmarket on Fergus. The Building Unit of the Department will be in contact with Clonmoney N.S. shortly in relation to the amount of funding approved.
Earlier this month, funding was allocated for similar small capital projects at Inagh, Carron, Carrigaholt, Furglan and Clooney National Schools. According to Minister Killeen, “The approval of funding for such small scale capital projects is very positive news for the schools concerned as some had believed that the current economic downturn would have led to a subsequent decrease in Government spending in this area. In this regard, I wish the Clonmoney school authority every success with its project.”
