Minister of State and Clare T.D. Tony Killeen has received confirmation from An Post that it will shortly erect a Post Box at Kilnamona Cross on the main Inagh to Ennis Road.
The ‘Lamp Box’ has been ordered and is scheduled to be erected in the coming weeks.
Minister Killeen said the provision of the post box would be welcomed by the people of Inagh-Kilnamona parish. He added, “Postal services in Kilnamona were withdrawn in January 2008. Since then, locals have had to travel some distances in order to send registered post. Therefore, the provision of this post box is welcome news.” The provision of the ‘Lamp Box’ was confirmed by An Post’s Operations Manager following a representation by Minister Killeen.
