A search involving the Shannon-based coastguard helicopter is due to resume in Galway this morning for a woman who was seen falling into the River Corrib yesterday.GardaĆ were alerted to the incident at around 8pm last night, according to Breakingnews.ie. A search was mounted in the Wolfe Tone Bridge area, but was suspended for the night and was due to resume at first light this morning.
The operation is being co-ordinated by the Valentia Coastguard and also involves the coastguard helicopter and the Galway Bay inshore lifeboat.
