A skeleton staff of fewer than five Aer Lingus ground personnel will remain at Shannon airport as part of the company's plans to close its cabin crew base and outsource ground-handling at the airport, the Irish Times reports today. People in Clare with an interest in the Irish Language attended a public consultation meeting on the development of the language in Ennis last night. The meeting marked the commencement of the second phase of the process from the Department of the Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs and gives people the opportunity to shape public policy on the development of the language.
