A search and rescue operation off the coast of Clare was called off over the weekend after it was declared to be a well intended false alarm. The alarm was raised at around 11 o'clock after a person was reportedly seen in the water near the west Clare village of Carrigaholt. The Shannon based Irish Coast Guard helicopter and the RNLI Lifeboat from Kilrush were called to the area.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
