Moyross PP critical of Clare Local Authorities

The Parish Priest of Limerick's Moyross area has accused Clare Councillors of ignorance following their comments on the proposed Clare-Limerick regional housing strategy,a ccording to Clare FM News.

Both Shannon Town Council and Clare County Council have voted to have no hand, act, nor part in the plan, saying they do not want anti-social tenants or what were described as the "dregs of society" living in Clare communities. But Fr. Frank O'Dea has now written to the local authority expressing disappointment with their comments.

Defending the reputation of Moyross, Fr. O'Dea told local radio that such remarks will only cause greater divisions between local communities.
