Limerick drive-by shooting victim treated in hospital

A man is recovering in hospital after he was shot in a drive-by shooting in Limerick overnight.

The 20-year-old victim, who is believed to be from the Garryowen area, was found injured on South Claghaun Road shortly after 11pm, breakingnews.ie reports. He is believed to have suffered leg injuries after a gunman fired a number of shots at him from a passing BMW before driving away.

The man is being treated in the Midwestern Regional Hospital.
