Fitzgerald To Announce Decision On Déise Future

Davy Fitzgerald could well stay on as Waterford hurling manager after the 2009 Championship draw threw up what he described as a "huge" clash between the Déise and Limerick, Setanta Sports reports.

The former Clare goalkeeper led the county to an All-Ireland final in September but hinted that he could quit the post because of the considerable amount of travel involved.

However, Fitzgerald has told The Irish Star that he is now close to a final decision and could even be confirmed for another term as soon as next Monday evening.
