Galway's hurlers have denied taking a vote calling for Ger Loughnane to step down as manager.Only about half of the panel turned up for a meeting over the weekend to discuss the situation, according to breakingnews.ie. No vote was taken, but one senior squad member is quoted as saying there is a view among some players that the backroom team needs to be shaken up.
The hurling board meets tonight in Athenry to decide whether Loughnane should be offered a third year at the helm.
