A man has died in a work accident in East Clare.
The Limerick Post reports that the tragic accident happened at around 10am this morning near Feakle.
The 48-year-old victim was loading a trailer at the time of the accident. It is understood the man is from Cavan originally, but lived locally. He died after the excavator he was operating overturned. Two separate investigations have been launched as inspectors from the Garda technical division and the Health and Safety Authority have visited the scene.
The body of the man was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital for a post mortem examination.
