Clare County Council has issued a public health notice to householders using the Kildysart Public Water Supply.The warning follows the discovery of higher than recommended Aluminium values in the supply. The local authority reports that there is no evidence of ill health due to the drinking water but that there can be problems for people with poor kidney or renal function.
They are being advised to source alternative drinking water until advised that aluminium levels have reduced.
