RTE reports this afternoon that Gardaí are continuing their investigations into the discovery of human remains in a field near the village of Ballina in Co Tipperary.
The badly-decomposed body was discovered yesterday afternoon by a man walking his dog in lands overlooking Lough Derg, about two miles from Ballina on the road to Portroe.
Gardai believe the remains are those of a young man from Limerick who had been missing for some time. However at this stage of their investigation they do not believe he died violently.
