Record 97 Clare Schools now flying the Green Flag

6 Clare primary schools have been awarded Green Flags for the first time bringing to 97 the number of local schools now holding the international award for environmental action.

A Multi-Agency Task Group comprising Limerick City and County Councils, An Garda Síochána, Customs & Excise, The Revenue Commissioners and The Department of Social Protection yesterday carried out a joint action on unauthorised waste facilities at numerous locations on the outskirts of Limerick City.
