A Dublin man is bidding reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain this weekend despite one of the world’s most famous mountaineers already describing Mount Everest as “unclimbable” this season.

Council Seeks Representation On Airport Steering Group

Clare County Council’s 32 Elected Members have unanimously backed a report by the Clare County Manager calling for the Local Authority to be represented on the new Steering Group tasked with determining the most effective organisational structure for a newly independent Shannon Airport.

New Action Plan For Mid West Waterways

The Mid West Regional Authority (MWRA) has been allocated €192,000 under an EU-funded programme to promote the environmental protection and economic development of the Mid West Region’s principal waterways, including Lough Derg, the West Clare coastline, the River Shannon and the Shannon Estuary.
