Fears expressed for Ennis to Miltown bus route

Bus Éireann is refusing to be drawn on reports that services between Miltown Malbay and Ennis will end as part of their cost cutting plans.

Bus drivers are threatening strike action over the company's 30 million euro cost recovery plan, which includes 320 redundancies and the withdrawal of some bus routes or reduced frequencies.

Clare FM News reports the Miltown Malbay to Ennis route will be the only Clare service to go as Bus Éireann says passenger fares do not cover fuel costs on some buses.
