Students from Killaloe have embarked on a study trip to Brussels to participate in a plenary session of the European Parliament.
The two students from St Ann's Community College in Killaloe were chosen following a in school competition after the school was nominated by local Fianna Fail councillor Cathal Crowe.
The students will be able to sit in on a plenary session with MEP's in Brussels and then also have the opportunity to put questions to the Parliament Members.

Parts of County Clare have suffered flash flooding as a result of over 12 hours of heavy rain.
Gardai have asked motorists to drive with extra caution due to heavy overnight rainfall which has badly affected a lot of the county’s secondary and tertiary routes. Flooding has been reported on the Tulla Road outside Ennis and also in parts of Doora.
Conditions are expected to improve according to Met Eireann. After a dull, wet start, with persistent and heavy rain in many areas, brighter weather with sunny periods and scattered showers will gradually spread from the west during the morning and early afternoon.
