Craigavon man fined for planning offence

A County Armagh man has been fined £1,000 plus £22 court costs and £78 legal costs at Craigavon Magistrates' Court for a planning offence, reports build.ie.

Raymond Pedlow of Annesborough Road, Lurgan, was fined for failing to comply with an Enforcement Notice to demolish a large shed and area of hardstanding at lands adjacent to Annesborough Road, Lurgan.

The prosecution was brought under article 72 of The Planning (NI) Order 1991.

Residential facility opens in Cork City

A purpose built education and residential facility has been officially opened in Cork city.

Located on Douglas Street, the Education Services Centre and Residential Facility is a joint investment between Cork City Council and the City of Cork VEC.

The development has been designed for adults returning to education and will assist adults participating in further education programmes.

Moycullen to benefit from Astro-turf facilities

Éamon Ó Cuív, Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, has sanctioned a grant of €134,125 to Coiste Pháirc Imeartha Mhaigh Cuilinn.

This grant will enable the committee to construct an all-weather pitch near their clubhouse in Moycullen, County Galway.

The Minister said this pitch will be a wonderful facility and will enable the Club to organise more activities.
