German technology firm InVision Software AG has committed to creating 30 high-quality software jobs in Derry as part of an Invest Northern Ireland-supported investment.
The 30 high-quality jobs will span software development, customer support and documentation and will be in place by 2012.
Invest NI has offered £251,000 of support towards the project. InVision is an international provider of enterprise-wide workforce management software solutions to optimise the deployment of staff. Its products are aimed to both reduce costs and enhance employees’ productivity and satisfaction.

Conor Lenihan, TD, Minister for Science, Technology, Innovation and Natural Resources today officially launched a nationwide scheme expected to generate thousands of new jobs in the clean-tech sector over the next 6 to 12 months.
The main focus of the Greenloan Home Energy Savers Scheme is to create significant employment opportunities in local communities throughout Ireland by grouping homeowners to avail of large discounts in upgrading their properties.
Over 250 clusters comprising thousands of homeowners in all 26 counties have already been created under the scheme, which was originally piloted in 2008 as part of the pilot phase of the SEI Home Energy Saving Scheme (HES).

A car dealership in Cork has announced plans to create up to 80 jobs over the next three years after being appointed as the new Volkswagen dealer for the city.
Blackwater Motors plans to invest €5m in a new facility as a result of the appointment. The new premises is due to be constructed by 2012.
