New all weather facility for Kilkee

A state of the art Atro Turf facility and playground were officially opened in Kilkee today by Mayor of Clare Madeleine Taylor Quinn and local Councillor Patrick Keane.

The opening ceremony also featured a Family Fun Walk with musical entertainment.

Worker dies following Lahinch workplace incident

A Galway man died in hospital yesterday after being injured in an incident while working in North Clare.

The 26-year-old electrician from Peterswell, Gort in Co Galway was working at a site in Lahinch when he fell from a step ladder on Wednesday evening, reports journalist Pat Flynn in The Irish Times.

The man sustained a serious head injury and died in hospital yesterday afternoon .
