Man Seriously Injured Following East Clare RTA

A man, believed to be in his 20s, has been seriously injured in a road crash in South East Clare overnight.

The single vehicle accident happened on the Broadford to Limerick road shortly before three o'clock this morning.

The male driver was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick with serious head injuries, Clare FM News reports. The single vehicle accident happened near the Wuthering Heights pub on the main Broadford to Limerick road this morning around quarter to three.

North Clare Journalist Injured In RTA

A woman is recovering in hospital following a serious road traffic incident in North Clare over the weekend.

The seriously injured woman, a journalist, was the driver and sole occupant of a blue Seat which was in collision with a parked Ford Escort before crashing head-on with an oncoming Renault car.

The incident occurred on Friday at Carroweragh near Kilshanny on the N67 road between Ennistymon and Lisdoonvarna. The parked car was empty , but there were two people travelling in the third vehicle. Gardai at Ennistymon are investigating the incident.
