Five people released in 'Happy Kelly' murder investigation

The five people arrested in relation to the disappearance and death of Limerick teenager Richard 'Happy' Kelly have been released from Garda custody.

Gardai questioned five people in connection with the death of the teenager whose body was found at Lough Brigid, near Bodyke last November.

Four men and a woman were detained in garda stations in Ennis, Shannon and Killaloe, reports the Limerick Post.

Remand For Clare Man Following Derry Rape

A County Clare man has been remanded in custody, after appearing at Londonderry Magistrates Court charged with the multiple rape and attempted murder of a married woman in Londonderry.

According to 4NI National News, the 32 year old, of no fixed abode, denies attempted murder, rape, assault and making threats to kill in a house in Ardanlee in Culmore on Tuesday. A police officer told the court the accused allegedly raped the married woman four times.

The Clare man was remanded in custody to 8 October.
