Mid-West most popular region for employment

The Limerick Post reports this week that a total of 2,326 students graduated at UL last week, and were told by President, Professor Don Barry of the very positive results of a recent UL graduate survey which indicated an increase in demand for their graduates by employers.

"Demand for UL graduates is at its highest in a number of years with 74% entering direct employment within a few months of graduation.

Queen Of Pop Flying High With Shannon Airline

Pop superstar Madonna, has taken her own advice in not going for second best by hiring Shannon-based air charter provider Le Bas International for her world tour.

The Limerick Leader exclusively reveals that until now, the only connection the Material Girl had with the Mid-West was having a nightclub in Charleville named after her. But brokers Le Bas International, which employs 10 people in Shannon, have changed all that.

"This is actually her second world tour with us," explained Peter Le Bas, chief executive, Le Bas International, from London.
